Theft is defined as the dishonest appropriation of property belonging to another, with the intention to permanently deprive the other of it. Theft stretches wide encompassing a range of actions from and including shoplifting, illegally extracting electricity, to commercial and/or corporate embezzlement.

Burglary, on the other hand, involves unlawfully entering a building or premises with the intent to commit theft, damage, or another criminal act. It can occur in residential homes, businesses, or other structures.

Handling stolen goods refers to knowingly receiving or dealing with property that has been stolen, with the awareness that it is stolen.

These offences carry significant penalties and can have serious consequences for those involved, making it crucial to obtaining legal advice should you become suspected of this offence.
